Introduction
In this 48-hour design challenge, I designed a user flow for booking flights on a mobile travel app, from flight search to booking completion. The goal was to create high-fidelity mockups that made each step clear and efficient.
Background
Design guidelines that shaped the project deliverable.
These were the requirements for designing the core user flow for booking a flight on a mobile travel app. I used these guidelines to make sure all acceptance criteria were met.
Search
Users can search for flights by specifying origin, destination, and travel dates.
Results
Display a clear and informative list of available flights with filters for price, airline, and travel time.
Selection
Users can easily select their preferred flight.
Booking
Guide users through a streamlined booking process including passenger information, payment details, and confirmation.
The Vision
An easy-to-use travel app that simplifies the process of booking flights.
I analyzed competitor apps such as Booking, Kiwi.com, and Trip.com to benchmark industry best practices, which helped me identify common patterns for core features like search, results, selection, and booking. This helped me understand what users expect and how to approach these features in a way that feels familiar yet more streamlined and easy to use.
